Some unknown assailants have reportedly murdered and dumped the remains of a man on the street of Akure, the Ondo State capital on Wednesday morning.

The remains of the deceased whose identity could not be ascertained yet was dumped around Agbogbo area close to the Akure-Owo expressway in Akure.

Photo of the butchered man was shared on the social media and sources said his heart and other parts have been removed by the unknown killers.

According to a source who shared the story on social media, residents of the area woke up on Wednesday morning to find the corpse on the road.

The source wrote on Twitter:

“A man was butchered this morning by unknown person, his heart was taken away in Akure.

“It happened at Agbogbo bus stop, Akure, Oondo state.”

The source also added that the Police have visited the scene and had evacuated the remains of the deceased.
