A yet-to-be-identified man has been nabbed at the Isolo General Hospital in Lagos after posing as a relative of one of the patients admitted at the female ward to steal phones.

A video of the man tied by the hospital security guards after being severely beaten is currently making the round on social media.

It was gathered that the suspect had gone to the hospital, on Monday night, and sat there as a patient’s relative. He was said to have waited till midnight before starting his stealing spree.

Eyewitnesses said he was seen entering some offices and was later caught stealing phones in the female ward.

Sources said there have been numerous reports of missing phones at the hospital. Last month, the phone of a matron at the hospital was also stolen overnight.
