Man remanded for allegedly defiling 11-year old daughter
A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ikeja has ordered that James Aniente be remanded for allegedly defiling his daughter.
The 42-year old man, is been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Service, pending legal advice for allegedly defiling his 11-year old daughter.
Chief Magistrate P.E. Nwaka, who did not take the plea of Anietie ordered that the case file be returned to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
Nwaka adjourned the case until March 2 for mention.
Anietie , who resides at No. 33, Ijaiya St., Agege, Lagos State, is charged with defilement.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Christopher John, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Jan. 24, at 11p.m at his residence.
John said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
