Man United ‘make €100m offer’ for Jadon Sancho

Published

Manchester United have made an official bid of €100m (£90.3m) for Borussia Dortmund’s midfielder, Jadon Sancho.

The development comes hours after the Red Devils warned that it would walk away from a bid for the former Manchester City youngster if the German club do not reduce their £108 million price tag.

The fee would surpass not only Gareth Bale’s record as the most expensive British player in history (£86m) but also the club’s record buy, beating the £89m that United paid Juventus to re-sign Paul Pogba four years ago.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, United made the offer yesterday and are currently waiting to hear back from Borussia Dortmund, though it’s expected that the German club will want to discuss bonuses that will take the fee up towards their current valuation.

German outlet Kicker claims United have no chance of getting the price to drop and have just five days to pull off the deal before Dortmund pull the plug.

Sancho has two years remaining on his current contract and Dortmund are confident his value will remain the same if they were to sell him next year instead, the reports claim.
