Man Utd threaten to walk away from deal for Sancho
Manchester United are on the verge of walking away from a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, the UK Mirror reports.
The Bundesliga club is refusing to lower their £110m valuation of Sancho, with United executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, not willing to pay above £80m.
It was believed the two teams would meet somewhere in the middle, with negotiations over staggered payments also an option.
But after failing to come to an agreement, the deal looks to be on the brink of collapse.
United may even consider returning next summer for Sancho, while looking at cheaper options this year.
The Red Devils believe paying anything more than £100m is ‘unrealistic’, given the current financial situation caused by COVID-19, and feel Dortmund are being unreasonable with their demands.
