Manchester United duo Paul Pogba and David de Gea ruled out of Liverpool clash
Paul Pogba and David de Gea have been ruled out of Manchester United’s Super Sunday clash against Liverpool through injury, Sky Sports reports.
De Gea was forced off the field during Spain’s 1-1 draw with Sweden in the European 2020 Qualifier on Tuesday.
The goalkeeper was clearing the ball upfield just before the hour mark when he appeared to pull his groin, immediately dropping to the ground in pain.
Pogba, who has missed four of United’s last seven games with an ankle injury, was in a race to get fit for Sunday but will also miss the derby.
The Frenchman was in Dubai over the international break for warm-weather training, but has not yet made enough progress to face Liverpool.
