MANY WANT TO BE PRESIDENT! Removing Buhari will not solve Nigeria’s problems, Fani-Kayode states
A People’s Democratic Congress Chieftain, Femi Fani- Kayode, has said that Nigeria’s problems cannot be solved simply by a presidential election.
Fani Kayode stated that anyone that also believes removing Buhari will solve the numerous challenges in Nigeria is naive and short-sighted.
He made this statement in a new month post on his Facebook page.

Fani-Kayode further stressed that the race for the presidential ticket as gripped many Nigerians adding that some are serious contenders whilst others are not.
“Election fever has gripped our country and many want to be President.
“Some are serious contenders whilst others are not. Yet the truth is that our problems cannot be solved simply by a Presidential election.
“It is a good start but it is not a cure-all. We need to do far more than just electing a new President if we want lasting peace if we want to flourish as a people and if we want to grow as a nation.
“Anyone that believes that removing Buhari alone will solve all our problems is naive and shortsighted. We need to go much further than that” he said.
According to the former aviation minister, the problems of the country can only be solved by having a credible and all-encompassing referendum and ensuring that the federation is restructured.

“The reality is that the problems of Nigeria can only be solved by having a credible and all-encompassing REFERENDUM and ensuring that our so-called federation is properly and thoroughly RESTRUCTURED. Anything short of that means we are simply postponing the evil day.
“Outside of that, whether it is Buhari or anyone else that is at the helm of affairs from next year, the very real challenges and fundamental problems that we are witnessing today as a nation will simply continue. May God grant us wisdom, understanding and foresight,” Fani-Kayode added.
