Though excitement is high and every music lover in Nigeria are already counting down in hours to the Headies, the Don Jazzy led crew, The Mavins may not be there.

It has been gathered that the Mavins crew are already in Côte d’ivoire for their concert which will be kicking off tonight, so they wouldn’t be at the awards event tonight.

The trip was confirmed on the Instagram pages of the artistes.
“Touch Down Abidjan. ✈️ #Mavin,” leader of the crew, Don Jazzy posted on his handle.

“2016 was romantic … 2017 is about to be SEXY Abidjan I’m ALL yours ???#ThankingGodForJourneyMercies,” Tiwa Savage wrote.

“Bonjour ???? +225 #DoLikeThat,” Korede Bello wrote.

Though concert schedule may not be in the direct purview of Don Jazzy, there are suggestions that he deliberately scheduled the Abijan concert to clash with the Headies in order to boycott the awards event on the basis of what happened last year between him and YBNL boss Olamide.

So like Tekno Miles, the Don Jazzy led crew will be conspicuously absent who will not be attending the event after their Starboy, Tekno got bounced from the only award he got nominated for.
