Me and my mom need to have a talk, Lil Wayne says as he discovers he’s 53% Nigerian [Video]
American rapper Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. popularly known as Lil Wayne has revealed that a recent online DNA test has shown that he is 53% Nigerian.
The rapper made the revelation in an interview on America’s music cable network Revolt TV’s Drink Champs show.
He, however, said he may need to have a talk with his mom over the discovery.
A snippet of the rapper’s interview is presently making the round on social media.
Wayne who is set to release his long-awaited LP, Funeral, said he found out about his nationality after a genealogy search was conducted by a website he shared some of his details on.
“Me and my mom need to have a talk,” he said as hosts of the show all burst into laughter.
Asked if he had ever been to Nigeria, the rapper said no, but said he plans to visit to see what Nigeria looks like.
“No, but I got to be there.”
Recall that earlier this year, Wuzup Nigeria reported that Lil Wayne said he plans to visit Nigeria for the first time.
Now with his new discovery, he may just be on his way to the most populous black nation anytime soon.
