Mental health not taken seriously in Nigeria, Church of Satan on woman who ‘served satan for 990 years’
The Church of Satan has reacted to a claim by a Nigerian Lady Evangelist that she served Satan for 900 years before encountering Christ and eventually becoming a pastor.
The Church said judging by the series of inquiries it got from Nigerians over the woman’s claims, it can confirm that “mental health is not taken seriously enough in Nigeria.”
The preacher, identified as Evangelist Funmilayo Adebayo, is the founder of Rapture Proclaimers Evangelical Church (RAPEC) based in Lagos.
In her book titled: “The game of the anti-Christ (Exposing the Secret Behind Football)”, she claimed that she served Satan for 990 years before meeting Christ.
WuzupNigeria reports that a Twitter user, Alex Oluwatobi, shared screenshots of pages from the book on social media after he was gifted by his new neighbour. It didn’t take long before his post went viral.

Some social media users called the attention of the Church of Satan to the viral book, asking for its reaction.
The Church denied the evangelist and wrote
“Can confirm. Judging by our mentions mental health is not taken seriously enough in Nigeria.”
It went further in a series of tweets via its verified handle, @ChurchofSatan, to slam the said convert.
Reacting to an inquiry by Wale Gates, the Church tweeted:
Crazy people say crazy things. Hardly a new revelation. Not much else to say about it. https://t.co/2F28dHnHro

In another tweet, the church wrote:
“If you think a claim by a human that they have personally done something for 990 years needs to be “looked into” you may have a poor grasp on reality yourself.”
