For domestic violence survivors, the horror of being abused is nowhere near palatable.

For popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, one year after she was severely battered by ex-husband Lanre Gentry, it’s a miracle that she is totally healed.

In a thanksgiving message shared on her Instagram page, Aigbe said she is thanking God for the spirit of forgiveness.

She also said above all she is thankful for being counted among the living.

She wrote,

“A year!

“Thank you Jehovah for grace, for the spirit of forgiveness, for total healing, for strength and above all for Life!……..You are worthy to be praised ????.”

Recall that Mercy Aigbe and Lanre Gentry parted ways last year after photos of a severely battered Aigbe made the rounds on the internet.

She also took the bull by the horn by reporting her Hotelier husband to the right authorities for the sake of justice.

Mr. Gentry was remanded in Kirikiri and spent seven days in the prison over allegations of domestic violence.

Afterwards, Aigbe visited the United Kingdom to see a face surgeon better known as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
