A video making the rounds on the internet seems to be casting a cloud of doubt on the future of Gernot Rohr as the Coach of Nigeria’s national team after the Super Eagles finished third in the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

Nigeria beat Tunisia 1-0 in the third-place match on Monday night to win bronze in the continental competition.

The viral footage which is a snippet from the presentation of bronze medals to the players showed President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick in a position suggesting he snubbed Rohr who was the last man on the queue after others team members had been decorated.

As the German walked towards the podium, the NFF President walked away from the stage and refused to shake hands with the coach like the other dignitaries.

Rohr himself seemed to be shocked as he looked back in surprise seeing Pinnick walking away.

The video has sparked a series of mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media, with many expressing disappointments in Pinnick’s supposed act, while others claimed he couldn’t have snubbed the German coach.
