Mourinho hugs Tottenham ball boy for Harry Kane ‘assist’ vs Olympiacos

Published

Jose Mourinho celebrated with a quick-thinking ballboy after his smart work helped Tottenham equalise in their Champions League clash with Olympiacos.

With Tottenham trailing 2-1 in the Group B game, the ballboy’s fast actions allowed a quick throw-in from Serge Aurier to keep an attack alive.

The Ivorian full-back took the opportunity to feed Lucas Moura up the right-wing, and the Brazilian’s cutback was coolly steered home by Harry Kane in the middle.

And to celebrate, Mourinho jogged down the touchline to high-five and hug the youngster.

Spurs had gone behind to an early goal from Youssef El Arabi and then found themselves two down when Ruben Seemedo doubled the lead.

However, after Mourinho had reacted by sending on Christian Eriksen on the half-hour mark, Dele Alli’s goal on the stroke of half-time after a defensive howler gave Spurs hope, and Kane’s close-range finish levelled things up five minutes after the restart.
