It’s been one week since the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested fast-rising “Issa Goal” crooner, Naira Marley (real name Azeez Fashola.) was arrested for an alleged case of internet fraud and money laundering.
Intelligence report had also linked him and four others, including Zlatan Ibile to cybercrime offences.
His Mangement has, however, released an official statement pleading his cause while stating that the artist is a father who has turned his back on crime.
The statement also clarified the singer’s “Am I A Yahoo Boy” song and added that he loves his country, Nigeria, dearly.

On Tuesday night, Zlatan Ibile was released alongside Rahman Jago and two others while Naira Marley remained in detention. This move made Nigerians speculate that the evidence against Naira Marley must be a concrete one for him not to have been released.
The EFCC has said that Naira Marley will be arraigned on 11 count on Monday, May 20, 2019.
