Nasarawa Govt. mulls e -procurement
The Nasarawa State Government says it will adopt e-procurement to engender transparency and accountability in the process.
Mr. Dominic Bako, the newly appointed Director-General of the Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP) told newsmen after his confirmation by the Nasarawa State Assembly on Tuesday in Lafia.
According to him, e-procurement will give an opportunity for everybody to participate and engender transparency and accountability.
The director-general promised to make the procurement competitive for contractors with the view to identifying people that had capacity and expertise.
Bako explained that the Bureau was serving like a clearinghouse and due process office, where rules must be followed.
He commended Gov. Sule for finding him worthy of the appointment, and also for ensuring that things were done differently and correctly.
