Newcastle, Wolves, Crystal Palace chase Nigeria’s David Okereke

Newcastle are reportedly tracking Spezia Calcio forward, David Okereke. The Nigerian U23 international is also linked with a host of Premier League and Serie A clubs.

David Okereke’s phenomenal performances this season have propelled Spezia Calcio to the playoffs, though they lost 1-2 in the Quarterfinals to Cittadella.

The pacy 21-year-old has 10 goals and 12 assists in 30 appearances in Italy’s second tier.

Okereke can play both centrally and on the right wing. This season he has had 15 appearances as a striker, 14 on the right, and one on the left.

The academy product is highly regarded in Italy having been linked with Juventus and both Milan clubs this year.

A fee of about €8M would be likely enough for the Nigerian.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly also interested in Okereke. According to the Sun, Wolves the centre-forward is also on the radar of Crystal Palace.
