Is Nigeria’s unity really negotiable? Read what people are saying and add your voice
On Tuesday, a former Minister of Education and member of the Northern Elders Forum, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, Nigeria’s unity can be negotiated.
His actual words, “If Lugard made a mistake in 1914 let’s correct it now. If Nigerians cannot live together let’s go our separate ways,” was retweeted by former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode, on Wednesday and it has generated a lot of reactions.
“If Lugard made a mistake in 1914 let’s correct it now.If Nigerians cannot live together let’s go our separate ways”-Ango Abdullahi.

Some people support the position that the country as a whole should just be renegotiated and let whoever wants to go leave.
@realFFK yes! We can go separate way, I guess that’s when every region will realise his full potentials. Let it be based on religion or region

But Some others are of the opinion that Nigerian should remain as one, holding that going seperate ways by region or by religion has not helped anyone in history.
@realFFK @JoyceOdukoya remember Sudan and south Sudan were once together. Separation didn’t bring peace.
