Nigerian actor, Victor Olaotan may have legs amputated to save his life

Published

Veteran actor Victor Olaotan faces the prospect of losing both of his legs as a result of the car crash he was involved in back in October 2016.

Best known from his role as Fred Ade Williams in the longrunning television drama Tinsel, Mr Olaotan’s legs may be cut off in order to save his life.

A reliable source close to the family confirmed to TheNetNg that his health status is being closely guarded and is the reason that no explanation has been given for his extended stay away from the public.

‘Only family members, few friends and colleagues are aware of this development,’ the source further said.

The accident was so severe that the 65-year-old Olaotan had to be placed on immediate medically induced coma.

Although his family gave a nonspecific statement that he was recuperating and ‘in stable condition’, the truth is his legs may have to be cut off to allow him any chance of recovery.

Incidentally, only yesterday, the 2,000th episode of Tinsel was aired. Victor Olaotan’s character Fred Ade Williams was killed off in 2014.

Nonetheless, he has been involved in other movie projects before the accident, including Three Wise Men with Richard Mofe-Damijo and Zack Orji.
