NIGERIAN ARMY! Two old soldiers who served with Buhari spotted among supporters in Bauchi [Photos]
Two old soldiers who claimed to have served in the Nigerian Army with President Muhammadu Buhari, were on Friday spotted among supporters who came to welcome him at Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi State.
President Buhari arrived Bauchi State on Thursday for a two-day working visit to inaugurate some completed projects.
One of the soldiers identified as Malam Ali Maiggo, who is now 84-year-old, said he served with Buhari in the military in 1967.
Maiggo said he has been wishing for Buhari to visit Bauchi state as he had prayed to see him one more time before his death.
The other old soldier who claimed to have served under Buhari was at the venue with his military uniform as they both wanted to personally meet the president.
However, the old soldiers who could not see the president personally because of the security details around him had their phone numbers collected with a promise to reach out to Buhari.
