Nigerian Jailed in UK for killing woman with his car

A Nigerian auditor, Adebowale Adeyemi has been sent to jail for three years for causing the death of a grand mother, Rosemary Howlett in Essex, UK.

Adeyemi who should not be driving because he’s short-sighted was distracted by the Sat Nav stuck to his windscreen and his vibrating phone on the dashboard.

He had mounted the curb which caused pedestrian Rosemary ‘Cissy’ Howlett to tumble into the road – where she was hit by a Ford Focus just a second later, dailymail UK reported.

Adeyemi was jailed for three years and seven months for causing death by careless driving.

He was also headed a concurrent sentence of 12 months’ imprisonment for causing death while unlicensed and uninsured and banned from driving for five years.

An extended driving test must be passed before he is allowed back behind the wheel again.
