From undocumented Nigerian migrant to basketball star, Disney showcases Giannis Antetokounmp rise in ‘Greek Freak’
Disney has begun its casting call for a new movie called ‘Greek Freak’ which is all about the life of Giannis and his brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo.
“This story recounts their rise, with the help of their family, from undocumented Nigerian immigrants, living in Greece to basketball superstars in America,” it said on the casting website.
The production crew is looking for two actors to play two different versions of Giannis. The first is someone who is 13-15 years old who will play Giannis in his early teens. The second is a slightly older Giannis who is 15-18 years old to depict Giannis in his mid-teens.
