Nigerians drag Twitter user Gloria for trying to shame ‘suitor’, see hilarious reactions

In what looks like a case of the hunter becoming the hunted, a Nigerian lady’s attempt to shame a man hitting her up has backfired, placing her in the eye of the storm of social media backlashes.

The lady simply identified as Gloria had taken to Twitter on Thursday morning to share screenshots of a Direct Message (DM) conversation between her and a man Dapson.

In the screenshots, Dapson initiated a conversation with Gloria, asking for her name and also requesting to know more about her.

He wrote:

“Ok so where is Gloria from and what does she do?”

Probably peeved by Dapson’s questions, Gloria lashed out at him and wrote:

“Stop interviewing me…mtchwee.”

Then the man fired back:

“You’re so rude. Take a chill pill. It’s just a simple question, so sit down.”

Gloria whose bio reads “kind and mature” responded again:

“Mumu…common meaningful chat with a girl…you can’t do”

In an attempt to shame Dapson, Gloria took to her timeline to share screenshots of the conversation with the caption;

“What can we do about these angry Naija guys, or should I say Youths..?”

In a twist of fate, her tweet generated the unexpected reactions from Nigerians who seemed irked by her action and have taken to Twitter to drag and lambaste her for trying to publicly shame the man who had approached via a private conversation.

A few hours after trending at number one spot on Twitter in Nigeria following the series of backlashes, Gloria took her page again asking the man to apologise so they could set things right.

She tweeted:

Someone should please tell Dapson to unblock me… he should apologize, so we can set things right, I might even give him the chance to know me.”

Dapson while also reacting to the trend tweeted:

“I made that fool famous Sha. Pace setter aye.”
