Controversial Nigerian Twitter feminist, Oseyi Etomi, popularly known as Ozzy Etomi, is in the eye of the storm again and this time it is over her reaction to an aspiring lawyer’s dream to fight false rape accusations.

The aspiring lawyer simply identified as Oluwafikemikewa had tweeted via her handle @EreluChocolate that when she finally graduates from law school and becomes a lawyer, she will ensure she uses her law profession to fight and prosecute all ladies who falsely accuse men of rape.

In her reaction, Ozzy quoted the viral tweet and wrote:

A legion of Twitter users who were peeved by Ozzy’ reaction to the lady’s tweet has stormed social media to lambaste and remind her how she turned herself to an “FBI” when her husband was also falsely accused of rape.

Some were of the opinion that they thought she would have learnt to be cautious with her defense of rape accusations on social media, with current trends suggesting that some of the accusations are not always true, but attempts to disparage and discredit the accused.

Recall that in 2018, a parody Twitter handle accused Ozzy’s husband of rape. The accusation sparked reactions which suggested that Ozzy became jittery with her series of questions to the accuser in defence of her accused husband.

It later turned out that some Twitter users, who were may not be comfortable with the way she goes about her internet feminism advocacy, had created the account to get back at Ozzy for always defending unverified rape accusations on social media, without giving the accused persons opportunity to defend themselves.
