Some Nigerians have bared their minds on the ongoing feud between Nigerian singer Iyanya and his former business partner, the CEO of Made Men Music Group, Ubi Franklyn.
The feud between the duo got messier lately following an interview published by “The Native”, where Iyanya accused Ubi of assaulting Emma Nyra who was formerly signed to the record label.
While narrating his side of the story, Ubi in an interview with “The Native” debunked Iyanya’s claims and said he would rather not speak on the allegation of assaulting Emma Nyra, claiming he and Emma are legally bound not to speak on the issues that transpired between them.
Ubi then implied that Iyanya assaulted actress Yvonne Nelson while they were dating.
Famous Nigerian blogger, Noble Igwe, who also aired his opinion via Twitter wrote:
“I think it’s unfair that Iyanya is getting blamed for what happened between two consenting adults. Some of us have people in our lives going through certain things we see as wrong but would rather go “ e no concern me” but then decide to be judges online.”
These are some of the reactions from Nigerians on Twitter.

When it comes to labels and artistes, artistes always lose… they refuse to learn and then appreciate the business side of things.

It is very wrong at this stage of the story to drag @ubifranklin1 and call him names. I rather be afraid of the bitter person without evidence who taught and said right things for revenge. Iyanya is a good musician but made grave investment mistakes. He probably thought his

Ubi said absolutely nothing. What I read is someone silencing everyone with court cases and threatening more. That’s a manipulator. Chai. Short people and anger issues. Always want to be ontop(in their mind).

Naaah Ubi. You said nothing… Absolute nada. Your side of the story almost ruined the sweetness and the fun we’ve been having from the previous parts. You just made the truth clearer.
Thanks @JoeyAkan for the job well-done. We need dbanj and don jazzy story!

Well so Glaring that both men had issues, what I want to know is that is UBI owing Iyanya? If not I don’t see reason why matured men trying to bring themselves down? Abeg who don eat here

And move on with their lives. As much as I want to believe Iyanya’s side of the story I think he intentionally left out the real reason behind his departure from MMMG, a company he claimed he invested so much in yet gave up everything and just walked out.

Ubi talking about Iyanya sleeping with married men and having pictures paints him in a bad light. Why deviate? You trying to sway our thoughts from the story…
— Fran’6™ (@iamphransys) March 21, 2019
If you’re having issues with everyone around you, you’re probably the problem.
Ubi Franklin is the problem in his case; he had issues with Emma Nyra, also had issues with Iyanya, Selebobo left him, Baci ran away from him, even his wife left him. He’s the problem.
— MrJugo (@Jeromeikeh) March 20, 2019
Ubi is a child. 1986 fucking child. Sleeping with married women is it a crime. You were asked about If you beat up someone’s child and your defense is that you will expose Iyanya for sleeping with married women. You have the pictures of the women why?? You men are disgusting pic.twitter.com/NhCo4qsXGP

So iyanya witnessed ubi hit Emma Nyra and let the world paint her as a liar but never said anything. Now he wants people to listen to him???
— Abidemi (@bidemi_brooke) March 21, 2019
This article about Ubi Franklin and Iyanya, it’s a shame that men hate men like this truly but look at Ubi’s face, he just looks like a crooked person.
But men tearing other men down is sad

The only way to know the truth about the Iyanya and ubi’s story is to start a gofundme to raise 10 million naira for Emma Nyra so she can tell us her story🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
— little wolf❤ (@BusolaKole) March 22, 2019
The only person that has enough dirt to bury Ubi is Emma, it’s so obvious he’s scared of her and whatever she has on him
All he wants to know is what Emma said, and what he thinks Emma told Iyanya

Roze’s ‘Ileke’ beats Simi’s ‘Duduke’, tops Nigeria iTunes songs
The latest single “Ileke” by the Nigerian US-based music duo, Roze has hit number one spot on the Nigeria iTunes top songs beating the likes of Simi’s “Duduke”, Adekunle Gold’s “Something Different” and even other international stars like Drake, Adele, Wiz Khalifa among others.
Roze, made up of two brothers, Row and Zuwa Agbonayinma dropped the single and video “Ileke” on all digital platforms on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 and it has since caught fire for its melodic rhythm, powerful vocals and enthralling beat. The title of the song “Ileke” simply means the African waist beads but beyond that, the duo explores the function of the ornament in relation to a woman’s bum and how it defines and accentuates it during dance.
After practically sending the social media into a meltdown with rendition of cover of Rema’s latest single “Beamer” in April, Row and Zuwa definitely are writing their own story of greatness with “Ileke,” shooting themselves to the top of the reef in less than 5 days of the release of the song.
The Top Ten songs on the Nigeria iTunes are Roze’s Ileke at number one, Simi’s Duduke at number two, followed by EESKAY’s Sanitize, Seun Moon’s Ileke, Ladipoe and Simi’s Know You, Natalie Taylor’s Surrender, Hanno’s No Doubt (Featuring Realzy), Sokid’s Away, Adekunle Gold’s Something Different and Mayorkun’ Of Lagos.
Ileke was produced by top producer, Mekoyo and the video was put together by Clarence Peters.
When the duo did a cover of Mavin’s Rema’s “Beamer” back in April the ovation for them was so loud even Don Jazzy himself had to commend them for the effort. Some people who saw the cover on Instablog9ja begged the Mavin’s boss to organise a remix of the song, collaborated between Rema and Roze.
The music duo, born Eghosa Rodney Agbonayinma (ROW) and Osazuwa Michael Agbonayinma (ZUWA) popularly known as Roze are children of politician and music lover, Hon Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma. They were born in Houston, Texas, January 11, 1998 and July 30, 1999 respectively.
Their other songs include like Too Much, All These Things, The Whole Night, Good things, Impressions, Stranded and Patience.
Roze is signed to U&I Music owned by their father
