Nigerian singer Aituaje Iruobe, professionally known as Waje, over the weekend announced her plan to quit music over lack of funds to promote her music, and this has evoked reactions from Nigerians.

WuzupNaija reports that the singer in a 12-minute video she uploaded on her Youtube page over the weekend, lamented over the state of the music industry and the reception of fans towards her music. She announced that she would rather put her money in other business than invest in music that isn’t helping her financial needs.

Since Waje announced her plan to quit music, Nigerians have taken to social media to react to the talented singer’s plan to invest her funds into other ventures.

Waje should do what other musicians do, get signed under a label and focus on producing good music. They do the marketing at their expense and both party share the returns.
