Nigeria’s Omofuma slumps, dies in Malaysia
A Nigerian man, identified as Omofuma Christian, has allegedly died after he slumped in Malaysia.
Omofuma was reportedly taking a walk when the incident happened today in Damansara, Malaysia. He was confirmed dead by paramedics.
Christian’s death comes after reports of the death of another Nigerian PhD student who died at the deportation camp in Malaysia after he was arrested by immigration officers while he was sick.
It was reported that authorities allegedly turned deaf ears to his plea to avoid being arrested on account of his health condition, instead he was arrested in the rain.
On getting to the deportation camp where he was taken to, his health was left unattended to and he died.
Another Nigerian, Thomas Orhionsefe Ewansiha, who was undergoing his PhD in Malaysia, also died in the deportation camp in Malaysia after he was picked up during raid in Amapuri and taken to a deportation camp in Jalan Duta, Malaysia. Despite having valid documents, he was still kept in their custody.
He later died before his documents were confirmed and cleared.
