Nollywood actress urges ladies to avoid indecent dressing

A Veteran Nollywood actress, Victoria Inyama, has urged Nigerian ladies to dress in a decent manner to avoid getting raped.

Inyama, who condemned the high rate of raping across the country since the COVID-19 pandemic began, took to her Instagram page @iyamu.victoria to advise Nigerian ladies on the dangers of indecent dressing in a video clip.

She said that ladies should endeavor to dress appropriately so that they would not “trigger” the perpetrators of rape crimes.

“Appropriate dressing and comportment. l beg my ladies (minus the minors or aged victims) to please.. dress inappropriate clothing, to reduce the trigger for the perpetrators…

“A lot of these perpetrators have underlying mental health issues and being around them in certain clothing is a trigger…..sadly, the victim still gets to be shamed and ridiculed.

“So, it will be wise to safeguard yourself.

“Yes, it’s not about the dressing as some will say, compared with Europe and America, but remember they take rape cases seriously unlike in Nigeria…Think about it,” she wrote.

Inyama is a popular Nigerian actress known for the TV Series “Ripples”.

The renowned actress joined Nollywood in 1990 after she was introduced to the Nigerian Movie Industry by a veteran Nollywood actor, Alex Usifo.

She rose to limelight in the movie industry after her brilliant role in TV Series “Ripples” aired on NTA in the 1990s, a movie produced by Zeb Ejiro.

She has since starred in several movies, some of which include: “Lost Passion”, “Glamour Boys”, “Silent Night”, “Danger Zone”, “Love From Above”, “Iyanga”, “Ofeke”,  “Holland”, “Heat”, “Mothers Cry”, among others.

Inyama is a creative, skillful and highly talented Nollywood actress, gifted in the interpretation of roles in movies.

She could as well accept any character assigned to her by movie producers in Nigeria.

The actress, who once vanished from the movie scene, attributed her absence to marital responsibilities.

She, however, made a comeback with the movie “Talking Dolls” in 2017.

The movie was adjudged the best at the time and had the cast of top Nollywood stars like Mofe Ducan, Daniel K Daniel, Tamara Kimboye, Bellinda Effah, and others.

“Talking Dolls” was a movie that addresses societal issues like sex abuse and its attendant problems and was cast in London.

Inyama’s immense contributions to the growth of entertainment industry have made her outstanding, coupled with the numerous movies she acted before relocating to London.

Davido’s album hits one billion streams, receives honorary plaque

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, known by his stage name as Davido has received an honorary plague after his Album, “A good time” received over a billion streams worldwide.

The DMW music boss’ manager, Asa Asika, and his friend, Cubana Chief Priest made this information known on Instagram.

The plaque according to online speculations, was forwarded to Davido by Sony Music Entertainment as the said album “A Good Time” marketed underneath their platform.

A Good Time is the second studio album by Nigerian singer Davido.

He released it on November 22, 2019, through Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), RCA Records and Sony Music.

The album features guest appearances from Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Gunna, A Boogie wit da Hoodie,

Dremo, Peruzzi, Popcaan, Zlatan, Yonda, Wurld and Naira Marley.

Davido enlisted Speroach Beatz, Tekno, Shizzi, Kiddominant, P2J, London on da Track,

Fresh VDM, Seyi, Teekay Witty, Ray Keys and Vstix to produce the album.

In December 2019, Davido announced a North American tour in support of the album; they scheduled the tour to begin in the winter and end in spring 2020.

In March 2020, Davido postponed the tour due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In another news, popular Nigerian singer and music executive, David Adeleke professionally known as Davido has signed Mr May D into his record label, DMW.

May D disclosed this in a post he made on his verified Instagram page today, July 18.

The DMW’s latest signee took to his page in excitement and wrote,

“My New Family! I’m So Excited! Problem! DMW! 30BG! CONFANMENT”

May D was formerly signed by Psquare into Square Records before things fell apart for them.

However, as at the time of filing this report, no official statement or post has been made by the Davido regarding May D’s signing.

#BBNaijaLockdown: I’m hopeless with you, Nengi tells Ozo

BBNaija housemate, Nengi, doesn’t seem to hope on getting anything from Ozo if he possibly becomes the Head of House for the second time.

The two were having a discussion when Nengi said she doesn’t think she stands a chance to be chosen as deputy Head of House if Ozo becomes the HOH again.

“You are a hopeless case for me. The people that I was even having hope for, most of them have gone,” said Nengi.

“You are out of my hope list. In fact, for now, it is only myself I have because right now most of the people are booed up, they are just removing people from my booless gang”.

“Why did you say you are hopeless?” Ozo asked

“For me, if you win Head of House I have no hopes”, she replied

Ozo replied “I need to start calling you king manipulator.

Netflix surprises Ikorodu Bois with filming equipment worth millions of Naira (Photos)

Netflix has gifted the popular Nigerian teen comedians, Ikorodu Bois, some hi-tech filming equipments worth millions after their remake of the Money Heist trailer.

Taking to their social media page to appreciate Netflix for the gift, they wrote;
