NYSC announces 2016 Batch ‘B’ stream II orientation program timetable
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Monday, announced the date for the Orientation Course for prospective 2016 Batch B Stream II corps members.
The orientation program would run from Tuesday, 24 January to Monday, 13 February, 2017, NYSC announced in a statement on Monday.
The lineup of activities for the course include:Tue 24th – Wed 25th, Jan 2017- Registration/verification exercise, Thursday, 26th January, 2017 – Swearing-in ceremony,Monday, 13th February, 2017 – Closing ceremony.
The Service urged prospective Corps members to report to camp at the scheduled date as registration/verification will end at midnight of January 25, 2017.
The statement read: “All prospective corps members are also asked to present their original copies of academic credentials and other documents uploaded during the online registration on camp for physical verification.
NYSC added that it has included medical certificate on prospective corps members’ health status among the documents to be presented before entering various orientation camps across Nigeria.
The inclusion of medical certificate by NYSC comes after three corps members lost their lives in 2016 while in orientation camps across the country.
“All are also to note that original copies of academic credentials and other documents uploaded during the online registration must be presented on camp for physical verification,” the management added in the statement.
“All Prospective Corps members must present medical certificate from a government or military hospital showing their health status before they will be registered and admitted for the Orientation course.
