OAP Sweet Steve who died in Ondo car crash for burial on Friday

The remains of award-winning on-air personality (OAP) with OrangeFM Akure and stand-up comedian, Stephen Sotonwa popularly known as Sweet Steve, will be interred on Friday, 27th December 2019.

According to burial arrangements released by the family of the late OAP, he would be buried at his residence in Akure, Ondo state by 10 am.

There will also be lying in state for him at his erstwhile place of work, Orange 94.5fm in Akure by 8am the same day.

The burial arrangements also indicated that a candlelight procession in his honour has also been slated for Thursday 26th December 2019 from the Adegbemile Cultural Center, Akure to the Government House Park, Alagbaka by 5 pm.

The 35-year-old broadcaster and indigene of Ogun state was a graduate of Psychology from the University of Ado Ekiti (UNAD) now Èkìtì State University (EKSU).

As an OAP, Sweet Steve was the host of the popular Orange Cafe on Orange FM, Akure, co-host of Lunch Groove on OSRC TV Akure, and convener of the famous stand-up comedy show, Laffta Unplugged in Ondo State.

WuzupNigeria reports that the broadcaster died on Sunday 22nd December 2019 in a fatal car accident on the Akure-Ondo road.

He was said to be heading to Ile-Oluji from Akure when the unfortunate accident occurred.

Sweet Steve is survived by his wife, two kids, parents, and siblings.
