Published

Nigerian singer, Danny S, has said he dropped his dreams of becoming a football star because his father advised him to embrace music, another of his loves – Music.

The Off the Lite crooner added that his mother is a greater supporter of both his music and football.

“My father advised me to quit football for music because he is not a big football fan but he loves music. My mother, on the other hand, has always been a big fan who always supports me.

She has been supporting me since I started doing unique hairstyles. She is someone who encourages me to do well in any area of life I find myself. Even when our family members were against my hairstyle, my mother supported me.

All she begs from me is not to join bad gang. I still play football every weekend when I have the time,” the singer said.

The singer said that once he is done with his music career, he hopes to become a preacher

“If I quit music, I would love to be a preacher so I can spread the word of God to people. I might not have a church building but I would have a ministry which would preach the good word to people.

If I become a preacher, I know it would be easy for people living on the street to listen to my word. Most of them do not know that taking Indian hemp or abusing illicit substances is a very bad thing but if I am able to let them see the health implication of what they are doing, I am sure they would change their ways. I sing music for the street but I make sure they are songs that motivate people,” he said.
