Ogun CP commends security personnel over lockdown enforcement
The Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Kenneth Ebrimson, has commended security personnel in the state for effectively enforcing the government’s measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
Ebrimson gave the commendation in Ota on Friday while monitoring the lockdown in the community.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the commissioner also visited other border communities to monitor compliance with the restriction on movement.
The commissioner lauded police personnel as well as those in Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, FRSC, and NSCDC for ensuring adherence to the government’s directives.
Ebrimson urged the security personnel in different agencies to continue to work together to enforce the restriction order as well as fight crimes.
He also warned the personnel against the misuse of power while enforcing the order, urging that they should ensure that the rights of residents were not violated.
