Published

Police have arrested a herbalist, identified as Owolabi Mesioye, and his friend, Oloruntoyin, for allegedly murdering an unnamed man for human sacrifice in Ogun State.

According to reports, the accused committed the offence at about 10 pm on March 28, 2019 at Alaako-Ijeun Egboro area of Abeokuta, the state capital.

When the body of the victim was discovered, some vital organs were found missing.

The suspect, Oloruntoyin, allegedly lured the unidentified victim to his home near Mesioye’s residence at night and then beckoned to his accomplice herbalist that he had brought the sacrificial man for the propitiation they earlier discussed.

Report says that the duo later lured the victim to the back of Oloruntoyin’s residence, where they succeeded in making him unconscious with the aid of a charm he was hit with.

Suspicion set in when Oloruntoyin neighbours, who saw him when he brought the unidentified man home, did not see the man again as he returned home alone.
