Ogun records one Covid-19 death, confirms 24 new cases
The number of COVID-19 fatalities in Ogun State has increased to 23, the state government has confirmed.
This indicates that one more person has died from complications arising from the virus.
On Friday, the government confirmed 24 new cases of Coronavirus, adding that five patients, who have recovered from the virus, were discharged.
Newsmen report that Ogun now has 1,227 confirmed cases, 922 of whom have been discharged.
Presently, the Ogun State Government, in a statement on its social media handles said there are 282 active cases.
“As at 23rd July, 2020, Ogun State was managing 282 active COVID-19 cases, as it recorded 24 new cases, bringing to 1227, the total number of confirmed cases in the State since the index case was reported in February.
“On the same day, 5 cases who had recovered from the virus were discharged, making it 922, the total number of discharged cases, even as the State has recorded 23 related deaths,” it was revealed.
