Olamide mirrors Michael Jakcson’s thriller in intro to new album

Multiple award winning Nigerian street rap musician, Olamide Badoo has dropped his sixth studio album “The Glory and it landed straight on the Billboard world album chart.

The 16-track album is currently on number 6 spot on the charts featured Wande Coal, Burna Boy and Phyno.

“Wow wow lol #6 Album ?#PepperDemGang .. been so busy almost miss The Glory on the billboard top 10 word album chart @billboard thank you for the recognition #TheGlory,” said Olamide on his instagram page.

An intro video to the album which was released on on December 26, 2016 saw Olamide rapping for about one minute of the 1.36-minute duration of the video.

The undead-themed video was directed by ace music video maker, Musa Moe. It clearly brings to mind the 1982 work of the late American pop king, Michael Jackson. Coincidentally, the thriller video, choreographed by Michael Peters was also a part of Michael Jackson’s sixth album. The thriller album which was produced by Quicy Jones sold one million copies per week at its peak.
