2019 Elections
Omoni Oboli organises VGC voters, INEC officials yet to arrive
Nigerian entertainers have not been left out of the build-up to the 2019 general elections.
Majority of them have lent their voice and advocated for peaceful election all round.
A Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli, has taken it upon herself to organise other voters at her polling unit while they await electoral officials.
At Polling Unit 2, VGC, Lagos, Omoni Oboli, while awaiting the arrival of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission as of 8:45 am, took it upon herself to organize other voters such as herself.
It is recorded that as at the time of the report, there is a record turnout of over 320 voters already on a list being taken by the actress.
“We are taking the list so that we are organised for when INEC officials get here. When they get here, we will give the list so that it is in the order people got here. That way, there is no confusion,” Oboli said.
It’s 10am and I now have a table. Yayyyyyyyyyyy! @inecnigeria officials have been setting up and are almost ready for us. We now have over 500 names on our list. #NigeriaDecides2019 pic.twitter.com/Q03tlhOU8d
