One dies, others injured in Anambra multiple motor accident
One person was confirmed dead on Wednesday in an auto crash on the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Three others sustained injuries in the multiple motor accident.
The crash, it was gathered involving three articulated vehicles occurred at the Obosiflyover around 6.30 am.
A bystander who witnessed the incident attributed it to brake failure.
The Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps [FRSC] in the state, Andrew Kumapayi, confirmed the incident.
He said the victims were rushed to a hospital, while the corpse was deposited at the mortuary by a good Samaritan.
He added,
“Three vehicles and six male adults were involved in the crash which claimed the life of one person and three others sustaining different degrees of injury.
“The vehicles involved include; Daf Truck with reg no. NNE733XA, an Iveco Truck with reg no. RRN733XA and a Dangote Truck, which plate number was removed before the arrival of FRSC rescue team.”
While condoling with the deceased family, Kumapayi wished the victims speedy recovery.
