One of the students shot by the suspect was said to have died before help could come, as delegates, who had stormed the venue to vote for their choice aspirant, also took to their heels.

Voting, however, continued after other security agents at the venue brought normalcy to the area.

The Speaker of the Students Union Government of the institution, Onochie Ubani, wondered why such a sensitive exercise was brought to the school premises as the students were still on academic session.
