The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi is in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital on Monday for a brief meeting with some aggrieved traditional rulers over the crisis rocking the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers.
Oba Ogunwusi arrived the palace of Ewi of Ado-Ekiti at about 12:45 pm and was ushered into Ewi’s chamber where he met with the aggrieved monarchs behind close door.
The purpose of the meeting was to find a lasting solution to the stand-off between Governor Kayode Fayemi and the aggrieved monarchs who had been at loggerheads since July 31, 2019, over the appointment of Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti, Oba Alabi, as the new chairman of Ekiti Council of traditional rulers.
