Osinbajo reveals FG’s plans for the next four years
Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, has explained what the Buhari-led administration will be doing in the next four years at it begins its second term on May 29.
Osinbajo said human capital development and physical infrastructure would take the lead among the focus of the government in the next four years.
He disclosed this via a post on his Twitter handle on Monday morning.
The administration’s decision to focus and invest in human capital development as revealed by the Vice president seems to be in line with the advice of the Co-Chair of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates.
Gates while speaking at the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting chaired by Osinbajo last year had harped on the need for the Nigerian government to invest more in human capital.
He stressed that Nigeria has unmatched economic potential, saying that growth will come naturally when Nigeria maximizes its greatest resource, the Nigerian people.
In his tweet, Osinbajo further stated added that the government will also be working with government at the state level to revamp the education sector.
He wrote,
“In the next four years, President
@MBuhari has made it clear that we will be focusing our attention on human capital development and physical infrastructure. We will be working with States on education and especially the education of girls. Nigeria will prevail!”
