Security operatives have arrested a fake official of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Ile-Ife.

This was revealed by the president of the rights groups, Women Arise for Change Initiative and the Campaign for Democracy, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin.

Odumakin, who is in Ile -Ife as an election observer, said her team witnessed the arrest of fake INEC official in Otan Ayegbaju by security men.

WuzupNaija gathered that the fake official is a member of O’YES Cadet. He was arrested at Ife South LG, Ward 2 Unit 4 during the tour of Commissioner of Police in charge of Ile-Ife Area Command.

It was learned that the police had asked him to produce his authentic ID

Meanwhile, a candidate in the ongoing election, Iyiola Omisore of Social Democratic Party,  has expressed dissatisfaction with the process.

Omisore, a former deputy governor in the state, said that based on reports he received the card readers were too slow.

Also Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, in Saturday’s governorship election in Osun, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election so far.

Oyetola spoke shortly after casting his vote at his Unit 2, Ward 1, LA Primary School Popo, Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun.

He said the reports he was getting from APC party agents across the state indicated that the process was smooth, free and fair.

“To God be the glory, the process of the election is peaceful and INEC has done very well so far.

“My expectation is that we have a peaceful, free and fair election all through.

“People have come out en masse to cast their votes and I have just performed my own civic responsibility as the candidate of APC.

“I have a lot of confidence in the process because there had been no report of any serious issues from all APC party agents across the state, ” he said
