From dropping hit tracks to perform same on different stages across Europe, MC Chido is fast emerging one of the most sought after pop stars in the US.
The singer, who was the cynosure of all eyes at the just concluded Pan African Festival USA (PANAFEST-USA) where he thrilled the audience with electrifying performance, described the move as a step in the right direction.
While he’s still basking in the euphoria that greeted his performance at just concluded Los Angeles Nollywood Film Association (LANFA) awards and ceremonies where he was recognised as rising star and rave of the moment by the organisers of the event, performing at PANAFEST-USA could not have come at a better time.
Held at the Silver Spring Civic Center in Silver Spring Maryland, USA on Saturday, PANAFEST-USA is a cultural festival held in Silver Spring Maryland annually to celebrate African heritage and showcase the cultures of area residents of African descent under the overall arching theme “I love African Heritage Unity”.
The Festival, whicb is designed to showcase the rich and diverse cultures of African countries through live performances, arts, crafts, African cuisine, African fashion and African music has become one of the biggest platforms for many African rising music stars in the US.
Speaking on how he felt performing at such festival that gathered over a thousand audience, the Afikpo, Ebonyi State-born described the experience as mind-blowing, adding that getting on the stage to thrill and entertain his audience was something he would not take for granted.
MC Chido, who dished out some of his hit tracks including his wave-making track, Skele said the vent also provided a unique opportunity to educate attendees previously not exposed or familiar with African culture as well as foster collaboration within local African diaspora communities.
“Performing at such gathering and being recognised as one of the hottest Nigerian music stars in the US was no doubt in recognition of many years of hard work in the entertainment industry.
