PHOTOS! Diesel-laden tanker falls on Otedola Bridge, Lagos
Motorists and other commuters were thrown into a panic on Monday evening after a tanker fell at Mobil on the popularly Otedola Bridge in Lagos.
The road was cordoned off although two lanes are moving fine beside the tanker.
The incident was announced by the Lagos State Traffic Management via its official Twitter handle, @followlastma.

News of the incident was disclosed via a tweet by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) that read:
“Fallen Tanker on Otedola Bridge, emergency responders deployed to scene. Motorists are advised to be patient. Details soon.
“The Fallen Tanker is loaded with diesel, all emergency responders @ the scene of the incident. Road cordoned off for immediate recovery. Motorists are implored ti be patient on this one.
“Location of Fallen Tanker is @ Mobil INW Otedola enroute Berger, it is covering about 10% of the road. Emergency Responders on ground for recovery/ Traffic building up from Conoil U-turn. Two Lanes moving fine beside fallen tanker.”

A Twitter user said the incident threw many motorists into a panic. With drivers making a U-turn and facing oncoming vehicles in a bid to escape from the fallen tanker.

WuzupNaija recalled that in July, 12 people died and 54 vehicles were burnt beyond repairs after a tanker fell and exploded into flames on the Otedola Bridge in Lagos.
