The All Africa Music Awards took place live on Sunday, at the Convention Center Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos Island.

This is the 3rd edition of the prestigious awards and the hosts, were compiled from the three majorly spoken languages in Africa; English, French and Arabic.

It had the likes of Ahmed Soultan from Morocco, Bonang Matheba from South Africa as well as Ika Jang from Congo.

The All Africa Music Awards is tailored to recognise and reward those who have given African music the most creative competitive edge in the global market within the year under review. Over 154 nominees are campaigning for votes from the public for the various categories of awards.

AFRIMA is aimed at creating a night of glamour, glitz and grandeur for Africa in its crowning glory through a world-class live production event broadcast to over 80 countries.

The celebrated music award also aims to foster creative and cultural exchange, fast track industry development, knowledge transfer and build bridges for the economic growth of the music.

However, out of over 154 nominees that is soliciting for votes from the public for the various categories of awards, only 30 successfully made it and took home the prestigious award.
