PHOTOS: Notable Nigerians attend official movie premiere of ‘Black Panther’
Marvel Studios’ superhero movie, ‘Black Panther’ held it’s official Nigerian premiere on Thursday night at Filmhouse IMAX cinema, Lekki, Lagos.
It was a night of class and sophistication as Notable Nigerians attended in honour of the Black History month.
Some of the celebrities in attendance included Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva, Richard-Mofe Damijo, Annie Idibia, 2face Idibia, Kaffy and others.
Also in attendance were Pastor of House on The Rock Church; Paul Adefarasin, and the Lagos state commissioner for tourism, Steve Ayorinde.
The premiere was organised by the United States Consulate.
About “Black Panther” movie
“Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King.
However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.
“Black Panther” features Chadwick Boseman as the titular character, Forest Whitaker as Zuri, Michael B. Jordan as Eric Killmonger and Angela Bassett as Ramonda.
It also stars Sterling K. Brown, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba and Danai Gurira.
Black Panther is the sequel to 2012’s ‘The Avengers’ and 2015’s ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’. The movie will be available for screening in cinemas from February 16.
