Governor Rochas Okorocha has expressed surprise about what seems to be a jostling of one another by well-wishers who have been outshining one another in standing up to be recognised in the countdown to the governor’s birthday.

Though His Excellency’s birthday is still a few days away, having been born on September 22, 1962, his people seem impatient for the day to come, as they have literally swamped the Government House with an assortment of cakes from the state.

The excited governor took to his verified Twitter handle, saying, “It’s not yet my birthday, but the sound of celebration and drum rolls begin, a show of love as women from 27 LGA with 27 cakes visits me today.”

The well-wishers have one message for His Excellency: “Thank you for empowering us and our children.”
