PHOTOS: Residents apprehend early morning armed robber in Benin, beats him to a pulp
Luck on Saturday ran out on a young armed robber who specialises in early morning operation around 3rd junction in Benin City, Edo state.
The suspect was apprehended by residents after dispossessing an unidentified man of his valuables and money.
The unidentified man was returning from a night vigil in an undisclosed church when the robber and his gang accosted him.
His gang members were able to escape from the scene but he was chased and apprehended by residents of the area.
The suspect was later handed over to police officers at Ugbekun police station after he has been beaten to pulp by the angry residents.
