Two people have lost their lives while maintaining a locally made well in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The tragic incident which occurred on Monday was made public today after pictures of the sad incident surfaced on Nairaland forum.

It was gathered that the two local drillers contracted to maintain the narrow dug well died of suffocation, while the third victim lost his life in a failed evacuation attempt.

The corpses were evacuated from the well by the state’s officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
