The Enugu State Police Command has reportedly arrested a woman for allegedly damaging the statue of Virgin Mary on Sunday.

It was gathered that the unidentified woman waited until after the morning mass went straight into the Mary Grotto with a gallon of fuel and set it on fire.

The incident was said to have happened at St. Jacobs Parish Orba, Nsukka area of the state.

Police are reportedly questioning the woman and she will be prosecuted after investigations.
