Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, met with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Though details of the meeting was not disclosed to newsmen, but we learnt the meeting lasted less than 30minutes.

In a brief chat with newsmen after the meeting, Jonathan said it would not be appropriate for him to speak on the matter because many of the cases were pending in court.

The former president stated that the meeting gave him a chance to brief President Buhari about his recent trips outside the country.

On the renewed violence in the Niger Delta, Jonathan said it was appropriate for him and traditional rulers in the area to mediate in the matter.
