The Plateau state Government House was on Tuesday thrown into mourning following the death of Dr. Wummen Tsenba Bako, Governor Simon Lalong’s younger brother.

Although details of his death were still sketchy, The Punch, learnt that the deceased was a senior lecturer in the Department of Management and Accounting at the University of Jos.

The deceased was also said to be a Fellow of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

A family source who did not want to be quoted confirmed the death of Bako, saying “he died last night in Jos after a protracted illness; he has been sick for more than one year and had been on leave of absence at UNIJOS.”
